Baruch Actuarial Science Society (BASS) is a professional student organization that helps students interested in pursuing an actuarial career. 

What is an Actuary?

Actuaries model and estimate loss and determine appropriate charges for policyholders of insurance companies to make sure the insurance companies make profits and have enough to pay policyholders.
